Across the Universe by Beth Revis

There is nothing essentially wrong with this book, and in places it was definitely entertaining. Over all, though, there was a feeling that something was lacking. Amy, the main female character feels a little as if she’s been put together according to a tick-list of desired traits for a positive female role model. A large portion of the early sections from her perspective were unneeded. Elder, the main male character is more interesting, and the plot concerning his backstory - and the mystery surrounding it - is what actually kept me reading.
