Wow! Where do I start?
I think I like this book even better than the first! And the ending! I can't even... I NEED to read Sovereign now. Desperately.
If you haven't started the Acquisition series, what are you waiting for? It's almost like an erotic hunger games. Hard to explain without giving away too much!
Basically, a society of wealthy families have a reigning Sovereign and every ten years they hold Acquisition trials to decide who the next Sovereign will be. Three names are drawn out and they must 'acquire' someone for a year, to take part in the trials. These take place four times in that year, one for every season.
Only the oldest sibling in each family knows the rules. When Stella chose to switch her 'master' from Sinclair to Lucius, he finally learned what it truly takes to become Sovereign. Suddenly the trials didn't seem so fun anymore.
Stella is fed up with all the secrets and lies. She does a little digging of her own, and what she finds out... it could just be what breaks her. There is no way she can let anyone else win the trials. Not when so much is at stake.

I absolutely love these books! They leave you wanting more. Celia Aaron has done a fantastic job!
