reread 1/22/24: I love Magnus. He's like Percy if Percy was 100% done with everything all of the time and also a little bit of a pussy. He's hilarious and I LOVE him. Like i LOVE him. He's the second best protagonist in the Riordanverse.

I love the whole supporting cast. Special place in my heart for Hearthstone but Blitz and Sam are iconic. Jack and Otis are standouts. LOVED seeing Annabeth. I love how her and Magnus have such a brother sister relationship despite being first cousins who never talk. Hope we get some Magnus mentions in the new PJO trilogy...

ALOT happens in this book but it's all paced very well and I learned/relearned so much about Norse Mythology. Loki is a great villain and very easy to visualize.

Can't wait to see Alex in book 2 because I literally forgot they weren't in this...
