L'incanto del buio. Fairy Oak by Elisabetta Gnone

3.0

I enjoyed this sequel less than the first instalment, mainly because I’m not a fan of digressions. I find them distracting and an obstacle to the natural flow of the plot. This book had several digressions: 1) the story from the ancient book, that I thought was not very crucial for the main story, but rather a gratuitous digression, 2) the chapters narrated by Captain Talbooth that, again, had no real purpose to the plot. But I guess a kid would find them rather interesting to read, so take what I say with a grain of salt.
Overall it was still a pleasurable experience, and exactly what I needed to soothe me and relax me.
And of course, my favourite character has to be Pervinca (Lavender in English, I think?), I love her so much.
