Toasty Inside by Zoe Mona

TOASTY INSIDE was a fun, silly, and high heat Christmas novella that hit just the right spot between over the top and enjoyable. When college student Cynthia ends up stranded in the snow she's rescued by the reclusive mountain man Griffin, who has been a legend around her small town for years. Cynthia is shocked to learn that not only is Griffin incredibly hot, but he's also the genius inventor of her favorite sex toy line. What's a girl to do but offer to test some of his new creations?

I had a great time reading this one and it had me chuckling frequently at how flustered Griffin would get with Cynthia's chatty, unfiltered comments. This does have a substantial age gap, Cynthia is 22 and Griffin is in his late thirties, but they work well together because Cynthia is so out spoken and not afraid to go after what she wants. These two had great chemistry and they develop feelings for each other fast. I would have liked a few more emotionally deep moments to help support the idea that they fell in love so quickly, but it's a novella and it's clearly meant to be more fun than anything else, so I'm good with it.

Bonus points for the adorable dog Comet who Griffin is an absolute marshmallow for. If you're looking for an extra hot and funny Christmas novella then definitely check this one out.

Favorite Quotes:

“You’ve got a real small-town murder vibe going here. Angry stare, bushy beard, a forehead that looks like it was carved out of a tree trunk. You’re not a murderer, right? Just can’t be too careful.”

“What about a special someone? A girlfriend? A boyfriend? Someone to warm your bed during snowstorms?”

I sigh. “Not in a very long time.”

“Would you ever consider trying again, with someone new?”

“Not until you.”
