I Want to Die but I Want to Eat Tteokbokki
by Baek Se-hee
Not for me really. I don’t find it helpful to boil my life down to a few pages of very comprehensive text. Not everything needs an explanation. I am, however, very introspective, so I did relate quite often to the author. I just didn’t like the execution too much…
Everything was written twice and the book was only 190 pages long to begin with. Found myself getting bored towards the end, and cringing a little that an ‘early twenties’ author had written a seemingly comprehensive book about her own psyche. I don’t think it works like that.
