Stargazing
by Jen Wang
Stargazing is targeted towards younger readers, but don't let that discourage you from reading it. It's a simple, quick story and if you blink you'll miss its message. I almost did. Stargazing covers significant themes, such as homelessness, respecting different belief systems, differences in family make up, Asian parenting styles, friendship and illness.
After reading this book, I was left asking myself some of life's big questions. Who am I? What impact do I have to those around me? Am I accepting of people and their unique circumstances? While this book is aimed at a younger audience, it's message can be profound to anyone who'll read it. 4 stars to this book, purely because after reading it I'm still wondering, still thinking, and I just know I'll still be asking myself the same questions tomorrow.
