Daughters of Nri by Reni K. Amayo
4.0
I love an excellent African mythology story.
Daughters of Nri is a book that I had started in Audible but did not focus enough on the story and then put it down because I "lost interest." one day, like a year after I had gotten the audiobook, I was like, alright while I am working on my craft let me listen to an audiobook to pass the time and decided let me give this story another shot.
Well, I am glad that I did. First, one has to commend the narrator of this story; her voice was very captivating, which brought the beautiful words of Reni Amayo to life.
The story is very slow-moving, and you are given A LOT of background information before diving into the action, but it keeps the reader wanting to read the sequel because we are left on a cliffhanger.
