Gideon Falls, Vol. 4: The Pentoculus by Jeff Lemire

5.0

What an absolute trip.

"But something else happened... Something slipped through the cracks in reality... something hungry. Something evil. Something crept out of the black eye at the center and took Norton Sinclair."

In writing and visuals, this is peak horror delivered with unsettling effectiveness. The battle is on. The man that smile from the darkness is free and willing to kill anyone it must in order to get what it wants. As the plowmen make their appearance (not at all what I expected), the various players hurtle toward the confrontation that has loomed over them since the beginning.

But there are many questions still to be answered, and with so much uncertain--who can tell what the consequences of a decision might be?

This incredible team has raised the bar every step of the way through this series, and with all the pieces now in place, the fate of Gideon Falls is soon to be decided.
