The Billionaire Boss Next Door by Max Monroe

4.0

I so desperately needed a Max Monroe rom com. Of course the fab duo delivered in a big way. The Billionaire Boss Next Door is a fun and hilarious enemies-to-lovers/ office romance. The banter was just brilliant!! The characters are a freakin’ riot. I could not get enough of the dynamics between all the friends and all their scheming. I had the biggest smile on my face while reading this book! Also, best intro ever!

The character chemistry is probably my favorite thing about this book (or the banter. I can’t decide). Greer and Trent are so great together. Even when they’re were at each other’s throats, they had amazing chemistry. I loved Trent. I love the growth he experienced going from “Tin Man,” as Greer once called him, to someone who could really appreciated his team and those around him. That being said seeing him lose his mind over Greer is the funniest thing ever. Add in all his best friend Caplin’s ribbing, I was laughing my head off. Now, as for Greer. I have to be honest. It took a minute to come around on Greer. She’s a bit much. She snarky and outspoken. At times inappropriate. But much like Trent, as I read on I became more and more enamored with her. By the end of the story I was pretty much obsessed with her and her sass. I just love them together. They compliment each other so well. His reserve to her crazy. It magical.

I really hope this becomes a series. I would love to have Caplin’s story. In the meantime, if you want to laugh, you need this Max Monroe book in you life. Such a fun read.
