The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton
4.0
Not the greatest Star Wars book, but it's sure a lot of fun.
Have you ever wondered what would happen if you crossed Star Wars with straight fantasy? And then wrote it like it was a trashy airport romance novel? Well if you have (and even if you haven't) this is the book for you!
Princess Leia has been proposed to by space Fabio who has arrived at Coruscant with as much grandeur as Prince Ali in Aladdin. Now Leia must decide, does she want his royal bod? Or Harrison Ford's swagger? Oh, and Luke fights some witches, that part was fun too.
Seriously, all this happens and more, it is over the top, kinda trashy, but also kind of brilliant. This is definitely no Heir to the Empire, but if you don't take it too seriously it's much fun you're unlikely to care.
I give this 3 stars for story and a whole extra star for pure enjoyment.
