I really really wanted to like this with how much hype it was getting on Tiktok and Instagram. I struggled with the severity of the insta-love. Before Jon saw her he was a total playboy and it only took running into her once and being stunned by her beauty for him to change his ways? There were also a number of instances where he was making contact with her from the ice. The trope of single mom, while true, isn’t the traditional single mom. Felicity is a divorced 39 year old with a son in college and a daughter in high school(in the UK). So there’s not a whole lot of parenting happening per say. Typically I start a book and finish it within a day, at most two. This took me three or four days. This just tells me that I wasn’t super excited to finish it. That being said, I will give book two a go when it comes out in July. Maybe it’s just this couple that isn’t doing it for me.
