I really enjoyed taking my time with this one and have now finally finished it. There was a chunk in the middle where it was very slow and I was admittedly a tad bored, but I loved the start and the last 80 or so pages.
Gothic, dramatic, a little camp and surprisingly somewhat emotional, this was a great story to really sink your teeth into. I found Louis to be a really compelling character to follow, with an interesting cast of characters around him.
I didn't really know what to expect going in but I'm really glad I read it and I do plan on continuing the series.
