What I loved about this book was how it was a time capsule in history. Hearing the description of the global order pre unification of Germany and Italy. What also I took away is that Verne really underestimated what would actually happen. Not only could one nation afford it, when they shot their gun it didn’t require the zenith to be perfect. Still funny that we are still just basically firing a gun to get to space.
