Genuine Fraud by E. Lockhart

So I think I have to give this book 4 stars. Which is sad because until the end I was going to give it 5.

First off I really enjoyed this book, I'm not going to say much about the plot because I believe it works better if you go in knowing nothing. However, I have heard many people talk about how they did not like that the story moves backwards. Basically, the story starts at Chapter 18, then goes backwards all the way down to Chapter 1, finally to finish back at Chapter 19. Each chapter takes place several weeks or days before the previous one. I really loved this method of story telling. We would often get details and then jump back in time and those details would mean so much more. I really enjoyed finding out things about Jule and her life. It kept me incredibly enthralled and for the majority of this book I loved it.

My only issue was the ending seemed too abrupt. I was left thinking "That's it?" I wanted to know more, I wanted the author to expand more on Jule and I just kinda of felt let down that all the build up ended there.

However, I still really enjoyed the story and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a good thriller and mystery.
