Heartstopper Volume 3 by Alice Oseman

5.0

Nick and Charlie's are back for the third installment.

This was such a lovely read, Charlie opening up more about his past bullying experience and that he used to self harm. That was such an addition to the book to show what bullying can do to someone and I feel that it was very nicely added.

The couple start coming out to their friends as they feel ready and they want to get it over with so they aren't stressed about it.. everyone is very happy gor the pair.

It is also highlighted alot in the book about the pressures of being gay/lesbian/bisexual/trans and how you feel the lesser that you have to tell people, and how you have to come out and that you have to let people know. When in fact you don't, you shouldn't feel pressured to do anything you don't want to to. I love that the book explains this in the storyline too. Another highlighted issue is Charlie's issues with food, eating disorders are a difficult thing to deal with and can be triggered by traumatic events such as bullying.

Such a great read.
