Man oh man yall, I did not expect what I got from this book. This is the first time where the first book in a series left me questioning everything and its really hard to give a good rating when there is so much left to be answered. I went into this book blind and only knew it might be a sports story with a demisexual main character and I got that, but also SO MUCH MORE. I was not expecting the plot to be what it is, and it reminds me a lot of the Yakuza franchise (if you have seen or played these games let me know! I have some weird comparisons). It is very fantastical, but it also sucks you in so much that you just kind of go along for the ride just to know what happens.
Cant wait to read more of this series!
