Short Horror Stories Vol. 1 by Kathryn St. John-Shin, Rowan Rook, David Longhorn, Ron Ripley, Scare Street

3.0

I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

I’ve been reading Advanced Reader’s Copies for the past year or so, but this was my first digital copy. It was very seamless to transfer to my Kindle. Of these three short stories, I really only enjoyed the first one, Let’s Play. I personally watch a lot of influencers play video games online because I lack the money and skill to play it myself. It did get progressively scarier, but it was difficult to understand what exactly was happening. I really enjoyed the integration of technology and horror. It helped show how the modern world can still be frightening despite advanced electronics. I didn’t care for the other two stories and I definitely wasn’t frightened. Thanks for this spooky opportunity!
