Holy moly, this might be the best book I've read so far this year.
The Whisper Man blew me away. I really loved it. It kept me on edge the whole time, and even when I correctly guessed the outcome a few chapters before the reveal, the reveal was still a nail biter. I loved how true to life the characters are, and that Jake is actually really just a normal little boy who behaves like a little boy. I loved how the reveals were paced. As soon as the reader started trying to pull it together, it was revealed. I always hate when I'm reading a thriller and we all know where the author is heading but we still have to read 4 chapters of more build up. This book didn't have that problem.
I highly recommend this to anyone who loves thrillers, it's absolutely at the top of the genre's game.
