I learned too late into this one that I was absolutely not the target audience. But with praise from AJ Finn on the cover I SHOULD'VE KNOWN BETTER!!!!!!!
I really enjoyed the first 1/3 of the novel, however there were certain tropes that began to weave throughout the story in the last two thirds that were off putting overall. While it was still a very great read, I was never once bored-almost every chapter it feels like something is happening, I think it just fairs well with a bit older of an audience than I am. I expected more, but there never really was much for there to be more in the first place for a reader like myself.
If you enjoy AJ Finn(for some reason, people do, and I question this every single day), primetime murder mystery television, or the ID network-this ones for you.
