This was such a cute sapphic read! I preordered this and the character print that came with it was absolutely gorgeous! It really helped me see the characters.
I absolutely loved seeing Marigold come into her magic. I thought the whole premise of honey witches, ash witches, and the love curse was so interesting. I absolutely loved the magic system and how it utilized elements of nature to help others.
When it came to the romance between Lottie and Marigold I really liked how their interactions grew and they came together. However I feel like they didn't really get all that much time together. The ending came kinda abruptly, and I really would have liked a couple more come down scenes of them together.
I did appreciate that this world was set in the 1800's and yet queer relationships were so openly accepted. But tattoos on women aren't, so that was interesting to see Lottie have to deal with.
