Remembering that this is a book Of It’s Time that I haven’t read since I was a child, I did enjoy it again. It is Odd but that has always been inherant to the land of Oz and it was good to meet Ozma, who is Tip for most of this book and her life. The implication is that being transformed back into the girl she was a birth hasn’t changed more than her outward appearance is I think fine but something that would need more careful scrutiny when writing it nowadays. I didn’t know that she’d spent her whole life as Tip. To me I remember it being a much shorter enchantment but that’s memory for you. I’ll see how it goes in the later books but maybe Ozma/Tip is more gender fluid? I’m sure mr Baum didn’t think about it at all.
