Ugh. This was an ARC. I was so stoked for. This author either keeps me on the edge of my seat, or loses me completely. This was one of the latter. Much of the story required me to suspend my disbelief (something I enjoy 0) to make the story work. It was far-fetched and kind of ridiculous how we were supposed to 'play along' to make the story make sense. The bigger issue with this one though is that I was outside the story - the whole time. I never felt connected to anyone nor did I root for anyone throughout. Overall the plot holes were huge, and the ending and the elongated epilogue didn't make the read any better.
