chrismohan 's review for:
Caliban's War
by James S.A. Corey
A difficult second book because of how the first book was structured as a two hander. More characters meant for a less fluid story, while the geography and world building took another step forward.
The set pieces were timed down a little in scale, opting for diplomatic solutions rather than guns blazing.
All that said, the setup for the next chapter is so strong that the growing pains should bear plenty of fruit!
