Aquaman, Volume 1: The Trench by Geoff Johns

4.0

I have found a new love for Aquaman.

And it is all Anne's fault. She wrote such a great review praising the book that I just had to read it.

More than the story itself, it just hit me in all the right places emotionally. I mean, Aquaman was never regarded as a superhero that reached Batman or Superman's standards - he was disregarded a lot, and this volume deals with that. Really well I might add. At one point someone basically tells Aquaman 'yeah you suck,' and my heart just broke. Like, damn it, I do not need to feel this right now.

And what can I say. Aquaman's just a real cool character in this. And Mera's such a badass.
