If someone seems calm and put-together, it’s probably because they’re hiding something. And wow, does this book lean into that idea perfectly.
The pacing is quick, the tension builds steadily, and the twists just keep coming. I found myself flying through chapters because I had to know what was going to happen next. And just when you think you can breathe—nope, another reveal. Classic McFadden!
The only reason I didn’t give it a full 5 stars is because there was one small moment I saw coming, but honestly? It didn’t take away from how much fun I had reading this.
If you love psychological thrillers that mess with your head and make you side-eye every character, The Ex needs to be on your list.
