Read 16.5 of the 25 stories, some of which I enjoyed (The Lottery, The Darmon Lover, Charles, The Tooth), some of which I didn’t understand at all.
I couldn’t really get into this collection, maybe because of the very unusual storytelling style of the time (which was nonetheless very interesting to dive into!) and the vaguely oppressive gloom and discomfort many of the stories were saturated by.
Had to return this collection to my library „unfinished“, but might pick it up again at a later time.
