It took me a couple of chapters before I get to understand what the book is all about and the whole setting. I still feel like the pacing of the book is slow and it's only by the time I was halfway through that I was hooked! And I know this will make me look lazy (but because I am okay) but I would've liked it better if we have glossary at the end. I could search them but I'm trying not to be distracted while reading lol. But other than that, I still understood the context (hopefully I'm right though).
I found the world-building not so overwhelming but definitely magical and I loved the Arab representation! Altair's character is also interesting considering I didn't like him at first. And I'm looking forward to see more of Nasir and Zafira's relationship. The epilogue left me a lot of questions and it's a good thing that I read it now and that I don't need to wait for months to read the next book hehe.
