I read the first book, When in Rome, and I really didn't love it (2 stars).  It was just a little meh to me.  I wasn't going to read this one, but when I saw it was revolving around Annie, I picked it up because I liked her in the first book.  This is a book that I feel was very much a "me" book.  I saw a lot of people rate this pretty low, but I loved it.  I felt a connection to Annie as someone that has been perceived a certain way my whole life, despite being completely different.  Yes, the dialogue was a little embarrassing sometimes, but I just smiled, cringed and continued on.  I loved both the FMC and MMC.
