Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella

Sometimes you just need a book that can take your mind away from life and simply enjoy reading just for the fun of it.

The story follows Rebecca (Becky) Bloomwood - a 25 year-old financial journalist who can't seem to manage her own finances - as she tries to come up with ways to get herself out of debt. While each plan she hatches manages to fail miserably and hilariously, the only thing left to do is hit the shops and buy a little something to help her cheer up... and the vicious cycle.

I thoroughly enjoyed the author's writing and character development. I had quite a few laugh out loud moments.
I’ll definitely be reading more Sophie Kinsella after this.

This is one book that’s been on my Kindle for years and I never got around to reading it. Mainly because I made the mistake of watching the movie first. While I love Isla Fisher’s other movies, this one was a miss for me. I’m happy to say the book is a lot better than the movie.

If you're a fan of chick-lit or in the mood for a light read, I highly recommened this book.
