Why We're Polarized by Ezra Klein

informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

5.0

An identity challenging book, that helps put into perspective why we think about ourselves and the other political side the way we do (no matter where you stand). I wish books like this had more appeal on the other side of the aisle because it's hopefully, researched, thoughtful, at times funny, and important for where we are. Pragmatic creative ideas are suggested in the conclusion that should be way more mainstream for their sensibility, including thoughts on how we might restructure the Supreme Court to be fair to left & right parties, and multi-party voting consideration. Would love an additional chapter on Biden's presidency and the new context that we have to consider after Jan 6. Really great perspective from the last year of the Trump presidency.
