I’m so happy I made this my first read of the year 🥺 I had a good feeling about this book, and it definitely delivered!
First of all, this had so many emotional scenes that made me wanna cry. The way that Sheldon takes care of Theo with his PTSD attacks? Be still my heart 😭 If there’s one thing that’s gonna make me weak, is someone who thinks they have to be strong all the time being vulnerable with someone. I can relate so fucking hard to that aspect. The way I intellectually know that crying and being vulnerable doesn’t make me weak but I still believe it in my heart. Aayy!
As for the romance… I fucking loooooved the interactions between Theo and Sheldon. I felt like the tension between them built beautifully. I also thought they had excellent chemistry! Their steamy scenes were 👌🏼 fucking excellent. Absolutely had a blast reading those.
Theo’s family though? They made my heart melt 🥺 Nothing I love more than reading about sweet, overbearing parents that accept their son and his partner without hesitation. They had so much love in their hearts, and it made me feel so warm and mushy inside. I have so many quotes from them highlighted because they were so lovely! They were incredible.
In general, this was just an excellent romance. Both our leads felt like they had lives of their own, unique challenges and differences, and I just truly believed they were in love. I highly recommend picking this up!
