I am a massive fan of Kate Quinn and her historical fiction books! Really- my babies names are Josie Kate and Elise Quinn after her! Ha! Not really. It’s actually a massive coincidence that someone on Bookstagram pointed out after they were born… But I’m so glad I love her work! 🤣 ⁣

⁣The Diamond Eye tells the unforgettable, true life story of a quiet bookworm who becomes history’s deadliest female sniper. In 1937, Hitler invades Ukraine and completely changes the path of Mila Pavlichenko’s life. Determined to protect her homeland, Mila takes up a rifle and joins the fight. She soon becomes known as lady death and is a national hero. ⁣

⁣Y’all this is a hefty book and I flew through the audio. I couldn’t get enough of Mila’s inspirational and interesting life story. As always, Kate Quinn finds a strong women and brings her to life so perfectly. ⁣
