In the Midst of Winter by Isabel Allende

4.0

Welcome to another re invention trope, I'm a sucker for them. This book follows three strangers, well one stranger and two people who live in the same building and sort of know each other. And weird night in New York in 2018 during a blizzard. This not just about re invention but also about healing, all three of the main characters have healing to do and they find themselves on a weird journey to bury a body that heals their souls. Allende is always a favorite of mine, her style of writing not only informs and educates about social issues but draws you into her complex characters.
