"I spent all my time wondering 'what if,' then one day I woke up and I was 33."

The main character starts this manga turning 33 years old, which is my age right now after my very recent birthday and that is the reason I decided to pick this volume up. That and the fact that I enjoyed the Princess Jellyfish anime even if I have yet to read the manga.

I had a few laughs even though I didn't find the story relatable like I expected I would. The three main female characters feel pressured to marry and they meet a rude young man when they are out drinking that makes them feel even worse about their situation and how they are acting. This first volume ended up in an interesting note and I am curious to see what will happen next so I will continue this series.

The mangaka's note at the end was a relief since she stated she doesn't really believe what her characters say about marriage and states that there are a lot of unhappy married people and that happiness is something everyone has to find for themselves (and I agree). She also adds a bit about her own two marriages and being a single mother for five years after the divorce. I got used to reading author's notes and sometimes those are just as interesting or even more interesting than their works.
