The Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty

Did not finish book.

I'm sorry. I really am. I just can't... I can't do this anymore. Dnf'd then I tried to read the summary and I just can't take it as well. I found out that I don't have any interest left in this series which is very disheartening considering that I was really hoping this would be one of my favorite series ever. But lo and behold, I am yet again, disappointed.

I am too bored to stay in this story. I dnf'd around 75% of the book. After being slightly entertained with the first book, I tried to skim through the certain paragraphs and found that I enjoyed the story better that way... however, the technique did not last long.

I was hoping that this would be better that the first one and a lot of people find that. But unfortunately, it just didn't work with me. Most part of the book is about Nahri building a hospital to cater more patients. I am not interested in that. I don't find that entertaining. I don't like to delve into politics in books because I'm trying to relax and explore this world...

Okay, I think I figured it out. What I didn't like about this series is that, it does not really explore much about the magic per se. It's more on the political side. I would have preferred if this has been on the lines of City of Bones wherein we get to see the powers in use not just in wars but in their daily lives as well. I wasn't fully immersed in this fantasy.

The characters aren't that complex. To be honest, I was still a little annoyed whenever Dara comes into view. But I find that I like Munthandir's character more on this one...

And that's just what I can say about this book.

I am not going to be proceeding to read the last book. I will be selling.
