Wow this book was surprising in a good way. Its a lot of botany and science terms. Even throw in some Irish accent. But easy to follow overall. Some things I think got slightly jumbled in translation.  But what a fascinating ride this book was. The endings for me was rushed. And the middle dragged in areas. Sonder waa so frickin sweet and I loved him and his nerdy Frankenstein vibes. Atta was a strong very cool fmc. I enjoyed her pov a lot. The whole premises of this book is a plague is happening im Dublin in the 1990s. What is causing it..   why arr some people dying that are infected covered in vines, spores or mushrooms? And have black blood? Little does Sonder know that his new TA and him will figure this out together. All thanks to some stories they heard as children. Fairytales of course. There is closed door romance. But its all so sweet. The gothic Academic vibes were spot on with this one. Overall good read. Definitely unique.
