In the acknowledgments, the author said that this was one of the most difficult books he has written, and I saw that when reading the book.

I didn’t expect much from the book besides my undying love for the first one. When I picked it up and started it, it was sweet and emotional and adventurous to discover one’s sexuality with someone one loves. However, the author also said that there was still some things pending From the first book, and that was obvious as the novel focused itself on Aristotle’s journey of discovery, grief, sexuality, and even academic. At its core, this novel is coming of age at its maximum. The characters are lovely and supportive, and the oversimplification of minor issues is evident because we shouldn’t complicate ourselves when life can throw more difficult challenges at us.

Closing circles became an important event in the novel as Ari starts to let things go, and give closing to other things. He opened to the world and evolved from book 1 to book 2. The ending in general defeats the clear purpose of closing circles and because a bit of an expected cliché that I wasn’t rooting for. But if someone deserves a sweet ending is this couple.

Overall, I would consider this to be a split 3.5, but my love for the characters and the author will turn it into a 4. And to be honest, after such an amazing book 1… won’t it be hard to deliver something that will guide us throughout the universe and the waters of the universe?
