Longing for You by Jenny Frame

Meh.

To be quite honest, I read the first book in this series some time ago and it made me waver on continuing to read this author's paranormal books. I was surprised that I actually didn't mind this one, and found it better than the previous book. That being said - don't read this one if you haven't read the first or you will likely end up a bit confused without the context of events and characters. And this is the second in a series with what will surely be a third on the way - so there isn't a pat ending and Ms Frame has given enough leads to set up the third.

A lot of the issues I've had with Ms Frame's previous paranormal romances were still present, but I did actually enjoy the characters of Alexis and Katie more than the first book's pairing of Byron and Amelia (who are pretty major secondary characters in this one).

This one might be it for me when it comes to Ms Frame's paranormal books. I'm too cranky these days to suspend my disbelief enough to fully commit my to the world and characters.

Once again, I am in the minority - so if you enjoy Ms Frame's other paranormal books this will be a welcome addition to your reading list. If you haven't enjoyed those books, you probably won't be looking at this one anyways. :)
