This was my first book by Shari Lapena and I can safely say it won’t be my last!

The Wooler family live in Stanhope. It’s the perfect place to raise a family, a safe neighbourhood. On the surface, they are the perfect family. Mum, dad, brother, sister. But this ‘perfect’ family isn’t as perfect as them may seem, and when the youngest member of the family, Avery, disappears, everything changes.

I love a good mystery/thriller and after hearing good things about Shari Lapena, I decided to pick this one up and I’m so glad I did!

This review is probably going to be quite short, as it’s a bit tricky to talk about the characters or the plot without spoiling the story, but I really enjoyed it.

I especially enjoyed the ending! It was really intriguing and left you to imagine the aftermath of the story, and the situation certain characters have found themselves in.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and I can’t wait to read more by Shari Lapena.
