Beautifully terrifying. The brilliance of the writing borders on hyperrealism, even with something as hazy and difficult to describe as scent. It is disgusting, it is relatable, it is revolting, it is human.
There is also some reminiscence of old fairytales, wherein a whole town is taken over by a darkness or enemy.
I couldn't sleep for a couple of nights, but it was still very much a great read.
