Into the Darkest Corner
by Elizabeth Haynes
YES Haynes!!! You nailed it with this novel. It was the perfect blend of thriller, horror, psychological twist and edge-of-your-pages-ness. I loved that Haynes moved the plot along from the very beginning and didn't wait for the last 10% of the book for a big reveal. From chapter one you were thrown into the life of Catherine/Cathy.
What I cant get over is how Haynes portrayed Catherine and Cathy as one person, but how they were truly not. It is so believably how Catherine changed into Cathy after the whole ordeal and that I think deserves praises. Haynes did an amazing job with character development and believability.
As for thriller, psychological, horror and edge-of-your-pages-ness, I was between thinking Cathy is crazy, to her silently telling her to RUN from everyone she met. Amazingly well put together novel, I honestly could not put this down. I could not get over how bold faced and brazen Lee is.....
This is a must read, honestly, if you are looking for something to get out of your reading rut, or kick your reading in gears, this is it!!!
MUST READ!
