The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch

3.0

"I need you to be happy, Coal. I need to know that you’re taken care of, or at least on the path to being taken care of, so I can be whole again." - Hex

"I won’t be happy without you." - Nicholas

I think that I had other expectations of this book, I thought that it would give all the good cozy vibes a holiday book uselessly has. Instead this focused a lot on the family dynamic and the business side of being the son of Santa. This book wasn't really focusing on the romance but I did really love the friendships and the group texts. They were always there for each other.

I loved the conversation between Hex and Nicholas about boundaries and taking time/only do things that you want and feel ready for. The friendships where so lovely and hard warming to read about. Nicholas and Kris (Nicholas his brother, main character of the second book) their mother left a long time ago, which means that they were used to protecting each other because their dad wasn't really there emotionally, he doesn't treat them with respect. So it was only them for a big part of their childhood and that really formed them in the people they are today.

A few basic

- Only Nicholas his POV
- Long chapters
- A little bit of fantasy
- MM romance
