The Beautiful Ones by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

4.25

Sometimes I wish I had the ability to reach inside the pages and slap a charecter. The writing in this story was great and I was able to vividly picture what was going on. It was basically one huge novela playing in my head and I was completely immersed. I finished this in one day and the pacing did feel a tad slow at some parts. Although I wasn't a huge fan of Hector, I wanted him to get to gether with Nina simply out of spite for Valerie. I also enjoyed the sprinkle of magic. Kinda wish there was more of that, but the story decided to focus on the romance and relationship between charecters more. However, this isn't a bad thing just personal preference. Overall very entertaining.
