I had pretty high expectations for this book and they crashed and burned. There wasn't a lot of relationship building, and maybe that's because it is split into 4 books? I don't know, but I hated the sheer amount of times Ava was so wishy-washy; it drove me nuts. The writing itself was wonderful, and it did draw me in enough that I want to see what happens to them in the future but I hope the rest of the books actually build more of a story than this one did.
