I had to read this for a class in college. However, unlike many other required readings, I was immediately drawn into the lives of the family. It’s a beautiful and sad story about the realities of South African apartheid but it’s so real and so well written I completely got lost and immersed into the story. It’s a book I would recommend to anyone looking to learn more about the stories of apartheid.
