I could care less about Megumi's sob story. I hate when authors give a villain a sad backstory and then use that as an excuse for said character to act like a jerk. Megumi is just so annoying and as of now, I really don't like her. I feel bad that she was bullied when she was younger, but that doesn't give her the right to treat Mei so badly. Like Yamato doesn't want you, move on!
Speaking of Yamato, he's such a hypocrite. He spent a whole bunch of time hanging out with Megumi without letting Mei know but now that Mei is giving him a taste of his medicine by doing the same thing with Kai, he has a problem. The more I read this series, the more I'm starting to dislike Yamato. Kai is now my favorite character in this series and I need him to get more screen time. I already know Mei/Yamato are the endgame ship but they need to work on communicating better because I'm liking them less and less as a couple.
