This was unexpectedly lovely. I was looking for a dependable King read, but this was moving and tender, closer to The Body, Shawshank, Green Mile, etc. I was totally immersed in the story - great narrator. The ending is a bit too rosy for my typical liking, but it was certainly satisfying. I would have liked to see more of Vera’s “dust bunnies and wires” to fully understand that part.
