White Hot Kiss by Jennifer L. Armentrout
4.0
4 stars
This is pretty much going to be an entire series review, since I read all three books back to back and I feel pretty much the same way about all of them.
This is my first foray into Jennifer L. Armentrout, and I can totally and completely understand how so many people love her. Her writing is easy to consume; it's like watching your favorite guilty pleasure film non-stop for a week: you can quote damn near every line, and yet you still laugh when that one guy falls into the fountain.
Ultimately, this was a fast read, but was pretty conventional. Apart from the addition of gargoyles, and the tattoos/familiars (which was probably my favorite thing) I feel like this was a pale comparison to Lisa Desrochers's Personal Demons' Trilogy. It was fun, it was fast, but ultimately, I think that I'll only ever consider this Reading Challenge Fodder.
Overall 3.5 stars for the series
