Elephants Can Remember by Agatha Christie

lighthearted mysterious sad medium-paced

3.5

This was fine. Probably a bit slow in some parts and not that intriguing because this is actually an old case and the stake is low. My favorite from this book is Poirot and Ariadne Oliver's friendship. I just love them. The plot wasn't really interesting and there might be a lot of plot holes or some inconsistencies here and there but I don't really care tbh. The characters are also not interesting at all.

I noticed there's not really any xenophobia and racism in this book which is rare. Poirot also has become a more comforting and humbler presence here, unusually.

This book also discuss about mental health and it made me think about if a person with severe mental illness to the point where they endanger other people might "deserve" death or not. I still don't know the answer.
